The
'Action Comitee Society' Emsland Camps is a private organisation and was
founded in 1981. Former convicts called `Peat bog soldiers' gave a wide support
to this idea. The task was to establish a document center where the history of
the camps could be studied.
Today the society supports the Document Center. Apart from the historical
research on the Emsland Camps and the Nazi-terror in the Emsland region, the
society keeps a close eye to undemocratic development and neofascist danger.
The work is financed by the members, by donations and admittance fees.
